Oklahoma City Comets (Triple-A)

Zach Ehrhard went 2-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI, leading our guys in OKC to a 5-2 win over Las Vegas. This was the kind of performance that reminds you why he’s on the radar — contact, gap-to-gap power, productive at-bats. He also drove in a run and scored twice, staying involved in the game when it mattered.

Josue De Paula complemented Ehrhard’s effort with his own 2-for-5, including a double and an RBI. De Paula and Ehrhard were the offensive spine here, and both came through in a game that didn’t require a lot of runs. Alek Thomas went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored — efficient at the plate and a sign he’s settling in as the season closes out.

Mike Sirota put together an interesting night: 1-for-2 but with three walks and a stolen base. That’s the kind of plate discipline and aggression we want to see. He scored a run and drove one in despite limited contact, which says something about his ability to create value. Ryan Fitzgerald finished 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI, rounding out a well-balanced offensive showing.

On the mound, Jerming Rosario picked up his first win of the season, pitching 1.2 innings with a strikeout and no walks or runs. Paul Gervase closed it out with a save, throwing a clean inning with a strikeout. This is the kind of late-game stability you want heading into October baseball.
