In his second start in a row, Zach McKinstry had three hits and three RBIs in five plate appearances including a sacrifice fly. His slash line is .545/.500/1.091 (AVG/OBP/SLG) with three doubles and four RBIs in just 11 at-bats. In the game tonight, McKinstry started in left field, then moved to second base when Chris Taylor got hurt. Late in the game, Cody Bellinger got spiked and had to leave the game which sent Zach to center field. What a day for McKinstry!

It just goes to show you that if a player performs the Dodgers will find room for him. McKinstry was a 33rd round draft pick in the amazing 2016 draft and turned into a top prospect. Now it looks like he could be in the Major Leagues to stay. The way the Dodgers are juggling the lineup this year to keep everyone fresh will allow McKinstry to keep gathering plate appearances and time in the field. His versatility will also allow the Dodgers to continue to use him in multiple spots, which aids in him getting more playing time.
