Clayton Kershaw To Re-Sign With The Dodgers

It is reported that Dodgers’ legend, Clayton Kershaw, will re-sign with the Dodgers. It sounds like a one-year contract with a player option for 2025.

Having Clayton Kershaw back in the fold is a big relief for Dodger fans. Reportedly the Texas Rangers were the only other option. After shoulder surgery in early November, Kershaw wanted to pitch again. His last start at Dodger Stadium was the worst of his career and he must have not wanted to finish his career that way. The hope for 2024 is that Clayton Kershaw can return sometime in the second half. He is only 56 strikeouts from the magical 3000.

I hope that Kershaw can have a return to his 2020 form with his “new” shoulder. Having him regain a part of his glory would be wonderful. The one worry for many of us is that Dodgers’ management will give him playoff starts because of what he used to be. Instead, I want Kersh to earn a spot in the post-season rotation. The Dodgers have damaged his reputation by putting him in playoff spots where he was not put into the best position to succeed.

Thank you for reading, watching, and listening. It is a great day to celebrate the return of the future Hall-of-Famer, Clayton Kershaw.
