The Dodgers farm systems got off to a good start on Friday, September 15th. The High-A Great Lakes Loons faced the Fort Wayne TinCaps, the Padres affiliate. Both teams took one win in the best-of-three series so this game decided who would go to the Midwest League finals.
Pitching Jared Karros was chosen as the to start the deciding game. Karros spent a lot of the season in Low-A and was promoted to the Loons on August 30th. The lineup consisted of almost all players that had played the whole season with the Loons, except Kenneth Betancourt. The Loons only needed two runs for the win as they only gave up one run.
Scoring
In the third inning, Taylor Young started a two-out rally with a single. Top prospect Dalton Rushing then proceeded to double in Young.
