Last night I finally got to see our Dodgers in person again. Even though it was Spring Training it was great to be at the ballpark, watching my favorite team. As we’ve said before, with Spring Training the lineups will be mostly the starters in the lineup that will be on the team in the regular season. It was no exception yesterday, March 25th. The only rookie even mentioned in the pregame was Jose Martinez as a pitching possibility. This post is a sample of some of the photos I was able to take without a media credential.
The Photos
I was able to get some good shots of Robinson Ortiz warming up in the bullpen. He never got into the game though.
Even though the temperature wasn’t that low it was pretty windy as pitcher Jose Martinez needed to bundle up.
We got to see catcher Stevie Berman get into the game at first base. Whatever it takes to play.
It was good to be able to capture some pictures of new acquisition, pitcher Alex Vesia.
If you watch a game near the bullpen the catchers get real active near the end of the game. Hunter Feduccia and Berman were working hard to get pitchers ready to get into the game.
I was glad to be able to capture some photos of players we’ve written about a lot over the last few weeks. Here are some photos of outfielder DJ Peters, infielder/outfielder Zach McKinstry, and infielders Elliot Soto and Andy Burns.
Final Notes
Last night it was noted that infielder Sheldon Neuse was optioned to the minors while pitcher Jimmy Nelson has made the team.
Tonight I will be at the game tonight as the Dodgers host the A’s with Clayton Kershaw on the mound. I’ll try to capture as many pictures as I can. We are six days away from Opening Day.
