Dodgers Prospects: Tony Gonsolin Gets His First 2020 Start

He’ll be recalled and start against the Diamondbacks

Everyone’s favorite catman, Tony Gonsolin, is going to make his 2020 debut on Friday against the Diamondbacks.

Gonsolin still maintains his rookie status for 2020 but only by a few innings. In 2019 with the Dodgers he had a 2.93 ERA in 40 innings and gave up only 26 hits. He should have been on the playoff roster in 2019 and could have been a difference maker. There is no doubt that he is a Major League pitcher but he has been crowded out by the rest of the talent on the staff. He was late to Spring Training 2.0 and was not ready for the opening of the season. Now it looks like he is ready to contribute.

You can follow Tony Gonsolin on Twitter ( @goooose15 ) and Instagram (.@goooose15 ). Go get ’em on Friday, Tony.
