A bit short again tonight. However, there are less than three days to go until the Trade Deadline. I will be blogging over at Dodgers Nation all through deadline day. The day began with the notification that James Outman is getting promoted to the Dodgers. We have full coverage in our article here. Later in the day the transaction logs showed that Austin Drury was released. That one really stings. Also, Zach McKinstry was traded to the Cubs for veteran reliever, Chris Martin.
Here are the highlights of the day.

Wishing nothing but the best to @ZachCMU as he continues his career with the Cubs!
It's been a pleasure having you in OKC for parts of the last 3 seasons. pic.twitter.com/Tc1h3iW7Bt

Cameron Gibbens is back. He was great in 2021 and is coming back from some injuries.
Watching 6'8 Australian, Cameron Gibbens, put up a zero tonight was easily the highlight of tonight's action for me. Gibbens has fought injury all year and, as you'll see in the video, released a lot of frustration with his good work tonight. Well done @CameronGibbens #dodgers pic.twitter.com/Iw8EuuSage

Peter Heubeck has really hit his stride.
Here's Dodgers 2021 3rd rounder Peter Heubeck from today's outing, he tossed a pair of scoreless innings, striking out three. His stats from his last five outings:
8.2 IP
1 hit
0 runs
3 BBs
11 Ks pic.twitter.com/UWllposbAR— Josh Thomas (@jokeylocomotive) July 31, 2022
Carlos Duran struck out 9 in 3 innings.
Carlos Duran showed both the growing pains and the significant upside in his outing for Great Lakes today. In his 3 2/3 innings, he gave up a solo shot, walked 3, and allowed a second run on a wild pitch, but he also struck out a whopping 9⬇️ pic.twitter.com/3jGt4uPHNX

Lael Lockhart dominated on the mound.
Lael Lockhart had another strong outing in relief for Great Lakes, raising his K:BB ratio to 4.1, highest among pitchers in the Dodger system (min 50 IP). Tonight's line:
4.1 IP
1 hit
0 runs
1 BB
5 Ks⬇️ pic.twitter.com/KDwRulGnnP— Josh Thomas (@jokeylocomotive) July 31, 2022
Luis Rodriguez hit a bomb.
Luis Rodriguez hit one of the most impressive home runs I've seen all year, and I watch a lot of baseball games. Check it out for yourself! #dodgers pic.twitter.com/leS4bbpZDD
