Jorge Puerta Promoted
A player we have noticed in the Arizona Complex League (ACL) is Catcher/First Baseman/Left Fielder Jorge Puerta. For the season he has slashed .358/.479/.663 (AVG/OBP/SLG) with 6 home runs in only 95 at-bats. That gets you promoted to the next level so now Puerta is with the Quakes. We will be out there on Friday and tentatively have an interview scheduled with him along with Marco Hernandez, Yunior Garcia, Kenneth Betancourt, and Yeiner Fernandez. The list will grow.

Another Trade
The Dodgers acquired outfielder German Tapia from the Rays for Garrett Cleavinger. Tapia has been playing for the Rays Dominican Summer League team and I assume he would go to the Dodgers DSL team. In 73 at-bats he has 2 home runs and slashed .329/.500/.452. He is 18 years old and plays both left and right field. He is a wild card but I like what I see in the numbers so far.
Final Draft Signings
The deadline for draft signings has come and gone. Here is the full list of the draftees that have signed and the undrafted free agents they have also signed, so far.
#Dodgers announce they’ve signed 18 of their 19 draft picks this year (20th round HS infielder Carter McCulley was the only exception)
They also signed six UDFAs
