The continuing changes to Minor League Baseball continues. It has just been announced that the Dodgers are extending invitations to four of the same organizations they have been affiliated with already. That is great news.
Dodgers have extended invitations to Oklahoma City (AAA), Tulsa (AA), Great Lakes (A+) and Rancho Cucamonga (A) as part of MLB's new player development structure.

The major change is that the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the Great Lakes Loons switch levels. The Loons are now the High A team and the Quakes are the Low A team. Players coming out of high school, college and international signings will start with the Quakes after some time in the Arizona or Dominican leagues. Of course the Quakes and Loons need to accept the invitations. It looks good for the Quakes.

If you click in the above article it looks like the affiliation with the Dodgers will be for TEN years! For us in Southern California, this is great news. Now, we just await news of the Loons accepting.
