Dodgers Prospects: 60-Man Player Pool Announced

Lots of interesting names beyond the 40 man roster

Today, June 28, was the deadline for announcing the 60-Man Player Pool. Along with the full 40-Man Roster, the Dodgers were able to add in some prospects. The Dodgers initial list only contains 51 players so they could add more. Rocky Gale is the only veteran as the following prospects were added:

Many speculate that no organization has 60 players that can contribute at the Major League level, so teams will use it to keep some prospects working with the Major League staff. Bottom line, teams need to make sure they can handle injuries and COVID-19 infections. The depth of teams could be greatly tested.

Final Thoughts

The Dodgers are one of the deepest teams in Major League Baseball. They will be in a position to withstand many different negative scenarios. I am also confident that the Dodgers will find a way to use the 60-man pool of players to an advantage. The biggest question is, who else will they add?
