Dodgers Legend Davey Lopes Passes Away at 80

CONFIRMED

We lost a legend. Davey Lopes, the leadoff man and second baseman from our historic infield that ran from 1973 to 1981, has died at 80. He helped us win it all in ’81 and was as tough as they come — grew up rough in Rhode Island and turned himself into one of the best baserunners the game has ever seen. That infield with him, Bill Russell, Steve Garvey, and Ron Cey was something we’ll never see again. Rest easy, Davey. Reported by the LA Times staff.

Miguel Rojas Returns to Lineup After Father’s Sudden Death

CONFIRMED

Miguel Rojas is back in the Dodgers lineup after the sudden death of his father. That’s a gut-punch situation and you have to respect the man for stepping back on the field when he didn’t have to. We’re all behind him. As reported by Fabian Ardaya of The New York Times.
