ACL Dodgers (Rookie) — W 9-4 vs ACL Giants

A quiet Sunday across the system, but the ACL club made some noise. The ACL Dodgers put up nine runs on the Giants behind three home runs, and the guy who stood out most was Kellon Lindsey. He went 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, a walk, three RBI, and two runs scored. That’s about as complete a day as you’ll see from a hitter at any level. Lindsey was on base four times and did damage when he wasn’t walking. The hit tool and the power showed up together — that’s what we want to see from a young infielder still putting it all together.

Francisco Espinoza added a home run of his own as the DH, driving in three runs with a 1-for-4 line that included a walk. The three strikeouts are worth noting — you’d like to see a little more contact mixed in — but the raw power is obvious when he connects. He’s a name we’ve been tracking, and days like this remind you why. Oswaldo Osorio got in on the fun too, going 2-for-4 with a homer and a triple. Two extra-base hits, two RBI, two runs scored. When the lineup clicks like this from top to bottom, good things happen. Abel Lorenzo chipped in a run and a stolen base out of left field, keeping the pressure on the bases.

On the mound, Luis Gamez gave us four solid innings as the starter — five strikeouts against three walks and just one earned run. The command wasn’t perfect with those three free passes, but he limited damage and kept the Giants off balance. That’s a decent outing for a young arm still refining his approach. Jose Cabrera was the real story out of the bullpen, picking up the win (2-0) with 1.2 scoreless innings, four strikeouts, and just one walk. Four punchouts in fewer than two innings of work is impressive regardless of the level. Keep an eye on this one.
