River Ryan Resuming Throwing After Hamstring Injury; Gavin Stone Throwing Bullpen Sessions

Two pitching updates to pass along. River Ryan landed on the Minor League seven-day injured list earlier this month after a hamstring issue scratched him from a scheduled Triple-A Oklahoma City start. Dodgers GM Brandon Gomes confirmed Ryan has resumed throwing, but there’s no timeline yet for when he’ll get back into games. That’s encouraging enough — he’s progressing — but the lack of a concrete return date means we’re probably still a few weeks out from seeing him stretched back out in starts.

On the Gavin Stone front, he’s throwing bullpen sessions as part of his rehab. No word on when he’ll advance to facing hitters or a potential rehab assignment, but bullpens are a step in the right direction. We need arms, and Stone getting healthy matters. Both updates per staff at DodgerBlue.
