Dodgers Acquire Former Phillies Prospect Griff McGarry in Trade

The Dodgers have acquired former highly touted prospect Griff McGarry from the Phillies in a trade. McGarry was once considered one of Philadelphia’s top pitching prospects before his stock took a hit. We don’t have full details yet on what’s going back to Philly, but this has Andrew Friedman’s fingerprints all over it — find a guy with arm talent whose previous team gave up on too early, bring him into our development system, and see what happens.
